In the EU legislation seals are often used by organizations without any timestamp. Swisscom offered up to now the seal only in combination with the time stamp.
A seal service without time stamp has lower transaction cost.
Remote signatures with seals are based on SSL access certificates which ensure a encrypted and trustful communication between signature (batch) application and remote signature service of Swisscom. In case of advanced seals properly identified representatives of the organization have to send the access certificate to Swisscom. In case of a qualified seal a common ceremony with participants of Swisscom or Swisscom partners and the seal organization will take place.
