It depends on three main factors:
First, the identification method that a person has performed. Our Smart Registration Service (SRS) offers a selection of different identification methods that enable the registration for the different signature levels:
SRS Video EU, SRS Bank DE, SRS Selfie Ident EU, and SRS eID DE allow registration for qualified electronic signature (QES) in the EU/EEA according to EU regulation eIDAS and advanced electronic signature (AES) in Switzerland according to the Swiss Signature Act ZertES.
SRS Video CH and SRS Auto Ident CH allow registration for qualified electronic signatures in Switzerland according to the Swiss Signature Act ZertES and advanced electronic signatures in EU/EEA according to EU regulation eIDAS.
Secondly, it depends on which terms and conditions the person has accepted after the identification and registration process. In principle, we recommend that customers accept both terms and conditions of the Signing Service for the legal areas of Switzerland (per the ZertES Federal Act) and the EU/EEA (per the eIDAS Regulation) so that they keep all their options open.
Lastly, it depends on which signature application of our partners the person wants to use for their electronic signature.
