If you already have been registered for the electronic signature via the RA App or Smart Registration Service, you need to consider the following cases:
- Suppose you have confirmed and accepted the terms of use of Signing Service with the password and SMS code method (PWD/OTP) during identification. In that case, you have already defined this method as your signature approval means. If you decide to activate the Mobile ID app now, you can only sign electronically once you re-register again for the electronic signature.
- If you already use the Mobile ID SIM on your Swiss mobile number and like to use the Mobile ID app instead, you should follow these steps:
- Step 1: Generate a new recovery code on the Mobile ID website and write it down.
- Step 2: Deactivate your Mobile ID SIM in your Mobile ID Dashboard.
- Step 3: Download the Mobile ID app on your mobile phone and activate the Mobile ID app with the help of the Mobile ID Dashboard using the newly generated recovery code from Step 1
For customers with a Swiss mobile number, kindly note: If you activate the Mobile ID app without the deactivation of Mobile ID SIM and using the recovery code, the Mobile ID app might be considered as your new signature approval means and, therefore, can cause a serial mismatch in a signing process. In this case, you need to get re-registered for the electronic signature.
Overall, we recommend that you decide to activate only one Mobile ID method (either Mobile ID SIM or Mobile ID app)
- If you use the Mobile ID app and like to switch to a Mobile ID SIM, you should follow these steps the other way around:
- Step 1: Generate a new recovery code on the Mobile ID website and write it down.
- Step 2: Deactivate the Mobile ID app in your Mobile ID Dashboard.
- Step 3: Activate Mobile ID SIM on your mobile phone thanks to the Mobile ID Dashboard using the newly generated recovery code from step 1
