Is the registration for advanced electronic signatures also valid for five years, like for qualified electronic signatures?
Yes. Persons identified for advanced electronic signatures must also register again after five years. It is sufficient if the identity card or passport is valid at the time of identification. If the ID document expires within five years, re-registration is unnecessary.
In the case of qualified electronic signatures, your registration is valid until the expiration date of your ID document (ID card or passport) or for a maximum of five years after your identification. In some instances, the validity of your registration can be restricted to a shorter period due to regulatory requirements, e.g., bank identification.
