Unfortunately, we have discovered that test accounts have been exposed that enable an SMS traffic pumping attack (also known as artificially inflated traffic (AIT) or SMS tool fraud). Fraudsters attempt to exploit profit sharing and roaming transsfer earning effects in the SMS trade by triggering the sending of SMS messages to network operators, mainly outside Europe. The damage is considerable.
In principle, SMS input options on websites must be protected against such attacks that follow the state of the art.
We have therefore decided to prevent the use of SMS or PWD/OTP on our test accounts from Wednesday, April 2nd, 2025. Alternative test options are available with Mobile ID or the new authorisation options as part of the broker offer.
