Announcement: ZertES qualified timestamp with MAB release on 15.06.2026

Written by Ingmar Schmidt | Jun 10, 2026 11:16:02 AM

Announcement: On June 15, 2026, starting at 8:00 a.m., we will enable the use of dedicated qualified time stamps for Switzerland under ZertES on the Multiple Authentication Broker (MAB) for all signatures under ZertES.

Impact: The work will be carried out without interruption.

Note: This change does not require any adjustments on the partner’s side in the signature application.

Previously, the EU timestamp was in use, which was also approved in Switzerland.
Due to the new regulations, the concept of a single timestamp for both jurisdictions can no longer be maintained; each jurisdiction now has its own timestamp.

Please note that according to OR Art. 14 (2bis), a qualified timestamp is mandatory for Swiss signatures. (Ref. Announcement)

Required Actions: No action is required on the customer’s part.
